Each year the Podiatry Foundation of Pittsburgh grants scholarships to podiatric students from the western Pennsylvania area. Scholarships for students in each year of study are named in memory of deceased Doctors of Podiatric Medicine from Western Pennsylvania who made significant contributions to the profession.

  • Scott Alter, DPM Memorial Scholarship (1st Year Students)
  • Scott Griffith, DPM Memorial Scholarship (2rd Year Students)
  • Andrew (Rocky) Graziano, Jr., DPM Memorial Scholarship (3rd Year Students)
  • Frank Martino, DPM Memorial Scholarship (4th Year Students)
  • Wayne Wolf, DPM (Honorable Mention Award)

The scholarship program grants scholarships to up to three awards in each of the four years of podiatric study. Students applying for the awards must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Pennsylvania specifically from the western PA area
  • Submit an application, curriculum vitae and an essay about their goals
  • Transcripts are encouraged but not necessary
  • Completed applications must be received by November 1 of each year
  • Winners can apply for each year
  • Applications are to be sent to nickinigro@comcast.net

Winners of the scholarships will be notified and monies awarded thereafter to their school to be applied towards tuition. If tuition is paid, then monies may go to any outstanding balance and then afterwards, awarded to the student if all obligations are met.

Any questions, I can be reached at nickinigro@comcast.net
